Transportation
Puerto Rico is about 50km from Gran Canaria Airport, with several convenient transport options:
1. Bus: The direct Global bus (line 91) runs from the airport to Puerto Rico hourly. Travel time is around 45 min and the cost is €5.5 per person. Buses run from 6:30 am early until 9:30 pm. For ealier or later travel, Line 1 is possible, but it takes more than 1,5 hours to get to Puerto Rico. Check the schedules for Line 91 from Airport and from Puerto Rico.
2. Taxi: Taxis are available 24/7 at the arrivals area. The ride takes about 35-40min and costs approximately €70-80, depending on traffic and time of the day.

Grocery Shopping in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria
Puerto Rico offers plenty of options for grocery shopping to make your stay easy and convenient. The top choice is Mercadona in the Motor Grande area, known for its low prices, wide variety, and excellent fresh produce, bakery goods, meats, and international products. Mercadona also caters to special diets with gluten-free, lactose-free, vegetarian, and vegan options, and offers toiletries, home essentials, and a large car park.
Other supermarkets like Spar and HiperDino in Mogan Mall are also available in the main shopping areas and near the beach for quick and easy shopping. Many stores are open Monday to Sunday 9:00–22:00, with Mercadona being closed on Sunday and bank holidays. HiperDino in MoganMall offers excellent options for fresh fish and meat, with great variety and excellent prices.
